Social Skills Group

Making eye contact, starting a conversation, asking for help, saying how you feel, waiting your turn, sharing a moment with someone, these are all skills we learn over the course of life. But for some children and teens, that learning does not come naturally. It needs support, mediation, and a safe space in order to happen.

At Priorit, the Social Skills Group is that space. Accompanied by psychologists, your child learns, in practice, how to relate to others. First inside the institute, in a structured and welcoming environment, and later on outings and external events.

And we go along! The groups take real outings to movie theaters, snack bars, and supermarkets, and attend events such as Rock in Rio, Game XP, and other cultural activities.

But what does your child learn?

  • Communication skills (speaking, listening, making a point).
  • Expressing feelings and needs.
  • Empathy and awareness of others.
  • Assertiveness and conflict resolution.
  • Civility, cooperation, and behavior in a group.
