ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science that uses the principles of behavior to promote changes that make a real difference in people's lives.

Recognized as the gold standard in autism care, ABA seeks to create more favorable conditions for developing communication, autonomy, social interaction, and day-to-day well-being.

Beyond the recognized scientific tools, we use the clinical intake interview and the Priorit Methodology questionnaire, which allow us to understand each person more broadly, considering their history, their context, and their needs.

Another essential element is the assessment conducted by a family therapist. This step helps us understand the family dynamic, the challenges of everyday life, and the best ways to support everyone involved in this process.

ABA intervention at Priorit takes place in an integrated way with the other therapies, ensuring coherence, continuity, and purpose throughout the development process.

That means speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, educational psychologists, and other professionals work together, with shared goals and frequent clinical meetings to follow each case.

Our work is guided by a few essential principles:

  • Respecting individuality and neurodiversity.
  • Teaching functional and social skills.
  • Reducing challenging behaviors ethically and compassionately.
  • Acting with empathy and science.
  • Always in a transdisciplinary way.
