NEAP – Priorit Employability and Autonomy Center
For more than 9 years, Priorit has been preparing teens and adults with autism for a moment that changes everything: entering the job market.
Out of that experience, we built NEAP – the Priorit Employability and Autonomy Center. More than a program, it is a path built with each person, respecting their talents, their wishes, and their unique way of being in the world.
We know that entering the job market is not only about landing a job. It is about belonging, finding a purpose, and being part of something larger.
How does NEAP work?
NEAP's work is deeply individualized. Every journey is unique, so we seek to understand what each person needs in order to build their own path into adult life.
Our focus is not only on employability. We also work on developing autonomy and the transition to adult life, supporting teens and adults as they discover their possibilities.
We welcome people at different moments in life. Some arrive at the end of high school, starting to think about their next steps. Others are already in college and receive the diagnosis later on.
From this individual perspective, we build possible paths. Often, that means finding or creating work opportunities that make sense for that person.
It is an almost handcrafted process.
Along the way, new friendships emerge, along with social experiences and the development of professional skills.
