Speech-Language Pathology
Before speech, there is the gaze. There is the gesture, the smile that meets another smile. That is where we begin.
Our speech-language therapy is designed for children and teens with challenges in verbal and nonverbal communication.
First, we strengthen what comes before the word:
- The eye contact that connects.
- The social smile that says “I am here.”
- The pointing that shows, that asks, that shares.
- The gestures that take on meaning.
- Understanding that widens, even without speech.
- The imitation that brings people closer.
- The pleasure of being together.
- Greater nonverbal expressiveness.
- Reaching out to others, spontaneously and genuinely.
Little by little, once the child feels safe, words begin to emerge.
Stimulation continues, expanding vocabulary, deepening thought, and building an increasingly structured and complex language. Until communication becomes spontaneous, affectionate, and a real bridge between the child and the world.
The FALE Method
Created by our director, Aline Kabarite, the FALE Method covers this entire path. It organizes, guides, and gives direction to every stage, from the first gaze to the most elaborate conversation, from nonverbal expression to social cognition.
In practice
Real moments from sessions at the Priorit units.
It is about giving the child the tools to express themselves, connect, and above all, be heard.
